Tyra Banks is an American model, media personality, actress, business women and a singer. She shot to fame as a model in Paris, Milan, London, Tokyo and New York.

Tyra Lynne Banks was born on 4th December 1973 in California to parents Carolyn London and Donald Banks. Her parents separated when she was 6 years old. Banks attended John Burroughs Middle School and later attended Immaculate Heart High School in Los Angeles graduating in 1991.

She got into modeling while in 11th grade. She went to Paris, to do runway modeling. Her first visit captured the imagination of several designers, as they were pretty impressed the way her presence was felt on the runway and she was booked for 25 shows, which was a record for a newcomer.

Saved from oblivion only by some amusingly quirky performances by a full-of-himself Dax Shepard character, plus an energetic Danny DeVito, a bit nutsy Jon Heder and Will Arnett, the film never resorts to substance. Kristen Bell is undeniably cute, but most definitely no Meg Ryan. She starts with a certain appealing personality and never builds on it from her first scene.

The innocent plot has admittedly some merry whimsy to it but aspires to a whole lot of nothing.

Jessica Biel probably has the best body in Hollywood. Seriously, she is a great role model for women who want to get in shape. Jason Walsh, her personal trainer recently revealed to People Magazine the workout that gives her slim thighs, firm butt, and generally a rocking body!

Were you lucky enough to see Jessica Biel in the movie Blade 3? If you did, you may have seen fitness perfection. Seriously...Jessica looked amazing in that movie. As a side note, Ryan Reynolds got in amazing shape as well. The great thing about Jessica Biel is that she manages to stay in amazing shape without losing her femininity.

She was born on July 20, 1980 to parents Vânia Nonnenmacher and Valdir Bündchen. She wanted to become a professional volley ball player and wanted to play for the Brazilian team. But at the age of 13 at her mother's insistence she joined a modeling course. The following year while she was on a school trip an ad agency spotted her at a shopping mall.

She then went on to be selected for "Elite Look of the Year" in which she came second. She then went on to compete in the international level and came fourth in the world contest. She began her modeling career once she moved to New York in 1996. She made her debut at the Fashion Week that year in New York.

In the news recently, was the story of a Georgia death row inmate, Troy Davis. A man convicted of killing a policeman, back in 1989. Davis was convicted in 1991, and has been on death row for 17 years.

Troy Davis has repeatedly claimed that he did not kill Mark McPhail, the police officer in question. Even more interesting, "seven out of nine witnesses who gave evidence at his trial in 1991 have recanted or changed their testimony, which was the backbone of the prosecution's case in the absence of a murder weapon, fingerprints and DNA", according to an AFP news story.

Recently, Troy Davis was granted another stay of execution, three days before his execution. Since his conviction in 1991, Davis has received a stay of execution thrice - one which was about two hours before his execution!

Laetitia Casta is more than a sex symbol; this stunning supermodel was chosen to be France's national symbol of virtue and beauty. Selected by 16,000 mayors of her native country, Laetitia became the new "Marianne", an allegorical symbol of the French Republic.

Immediately, bare-breasted statues of her were put up in town halls across the country. Laetitia was extremely honored by the mayors' selection, but may have given offense when she moved from Paris to London. The exceptionally talented Rock artist Sarah McLachlan has released her CD entitled Mirrorball. I am very confident and happy to announce that I believe Sarah McLachlan fans, and Rock fans alike will be pleased with this one. With the release of Mirrorball Sarah McLachlan's artistic excellence is on full display as McLachlan has once again delivered a brilliant collection of tracks that could very well be her best work to date.

Refreshingly, this was one of those CDs I was able to just pop in and comfortably listen to from beginning to end. Every track is enjoyable and was pretty easy for me to listen to from start to finish.

Rock music fans will recognize some of the well known guests that have been assembled to play along with McLachlan on several of the tracks. Artists like David Sinclair and Brian Minato just to name a couple.

Listen to Mirrorball and I believe you'll find there's not much to dis-like about it. The songs are inspired, the production is simply outstanding, and Sarah McLachlan is clearly in top form. So much so that if you're even mildly into Rock music you'll enjoy this album.
